Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has insisted that he will forever remain grateful to Arsene Wenger and Arsenal.
Fabregas made over 300 appearances for Arsenal after joining the Gunners as a youngster from Barcelona Team B.
At the age of 21, the midfielder was given the armband by Wenger as he grew to become one of the best players in the world.
After a brief spell back at Barcelona, Fabregas joined Arsenal rivals, Chelsea where he won a Premier League and League Cup title in 2015.
Ahead of Chelsea’s home Premier League game against Arsenal on Saturday, February 4, the Spain international has only nice to say about his former side and coach Wenger.
"There's something that will never change. There's many things said about me, about Arsenal,” the midfielder said in an interview on Youtube.
"I don't really care what people think about me anymore. It's just about what I feel towards them.
"Arsenal will always be the team that believed in me the most. I was a young kid, 16 years old, playing for Barcelona.
"Arsene Wenger, especially, and Arsenal Football Club, gave me everything.
"Without them I would not be a World Cup winner, a European Championship winner. And I would not have experienced all of this that I'm doing in my life. I will always forever be grateful."
Table toppers Chelsea have a nine-point advantage over Arsenal who are third.
